It was a sweltering afternoon on the beach and just a normal weekend for these two little people. Shooting at midday can be tough, with high light and little shadow, but perhaps this added some extra vibrance to an already poignant scene. The Veso people start their relationship with the ocean at an early age. To master the coastal elements takes time and experience. Fortunately there is a natural barrier here in Anakao with the offshore reef creating a protective lagoon, perfect for honing ones paddling skills. A little chivalry wasn’t lost on me either and I am sure this young lady enjoyed her afternoon trip as much laugher could be heard from my vantage. Another perfect day in paradise.
